Music and I
We go way back music and I. When I was little my dad used to play the odlies station on a little radio in the garage. While I was out there in the garage helping my dad or just playing around I ws introduced to the music greats of the 50s era: The Big Bopper, Chubby Checker, Buddy Holly, and my all time favorite and most memerable Chuck Berry. Thats when I decided I loved music. I can even go further back to a time when I was still in my mothers womb. My dad would put the headphones on my mom stomach and play music into where I was, it was stuff like Iron Butterfly, 10 Years After, and probably even a little bit of Berry for all I know. And so now I am hooked. I am a music addict, and most people would never know that because I don't talk about it much, nor do I really ever let it show. Thats because in recent years music and I have had a bit of a falling out. I am trying to find a better class of music, but I always end up back where I started. For instance as I type this I am using a web site called Pandora, and it's piping in my all time favorite mucic, The Blues. Allow me to clarify- Stevie Ray Vaughn type blues. I can't get enough of it. Ahh..... "Pride and Joy" just came on... it's like a massage for my soul. I can't help it I am a music fan. I even play the guitar. Bet you didn't see that coming, thats becase I don't really ever talk much about that either. In college I was in a Christian rock band. We didn't do much, we played some shows, and practiced a ton. We got really tight together as musicians, but it didn't last and it was fun while it did. I miss it and wish I could find others to jam with. However, I am bit out of practice because when the band split up I was kind of put out. I had no reason to play anymore and kinda just stoped. So I have not played in like two years, which stinks cause I used to play everyday almost all day, even when I wasn't in the band. I know I am kinda ramblin' but hey, this is my blog. Any way, I just wanted to get that off my chest, thanks for reading. I hope someone reads it at least. Peace guys
